Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman has been a distinguished psychologist since 1993 and director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. Her name is well-known for starting modern scientific studies of eyewitness accounts from children's memories and the use of child victimization in court. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer and has been awarded numerous grants, and has received several international and national distinctions. She has advised many administrations and agencies across the globe on policies and research relating to child victims in the justice system. She has been a consultant with the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center and was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has been a member of several professional associations such as that of Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She served as president of the The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family policy and practice.
